Introducing the Menu at otto
At otto, nestled in the heart of Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg, the menu is a masterful celebration of modern German cuisine rooted in local, seasonal ingredients. Each dish tells a story—whether it's the cold poached chicken with rich XO sauce or the delicately pickled cucumbers fragrant with dill flowers. Sharing plates invite discovery, yet portions can be tailored for solo diners, offering flexibility without compromising quality.
The culinary craftsmanship shines through innovative combinations like artichoke paired with sauce au beurre blanc and the catfish bathed in a subtly spicy tomato water. The balance of flavors is impeccable, highlighted by freshly baked bread with cultured butter and inventive vegetable preparations such as zucchini and red beet. Wine selections, though limited by the glass, are thoughtfully curated to complement the nuanced tastes of the menu.

Great food and helpful friendly service. Sharing plates, but these can be made smaller. I was eating alone. Cold poached chicken with XO sauce was excellent as was the bread with cultured butter and pickles (cucumber, delicately pickled with dill flowers). Interesting wine list, with very few by the glass, but those few are well-chosen food-friendly wines.
